Left & Right: Cut Paper Project

Through this project I learned about the different color themes, cool, warm, complementary, and a triad. I also learned that cutting paper is very tricky and very complicated but I was very happy with the end result. I named this piece "Picasso's Bedroom". I was inspired by Picasso's cubist paintings and use of color to connect my design to one of his paintings.

Pattern Project

This project was on of my favorites in my second semester of graphic design. This is a hand drawn pattern that has been replicated to create a pattern. I learned about negative and positive space and organic patterns. I also learned about time management because this project took me over 72 hours to complete.

Cube Project

This project was inspired my shadows in nature. I designed the box to be dark at the bottom and slowly fade to white towards the top. this was a fun project because I got to test my photography skills to take pictures of shadows. Overall, it was a really fun project!

Design Brief Project

This project was one of my absolute favorites. We got to design our own layout for our design brief, color schemes, etc. This project showcases my love of a simple design with serene colors.

Cube Project

For my final semester of Environmental Design at Auburn, I had to reinvent the “Cube Project”. What’s ironic about this project is that this cube was one of the reasons I switched from Graphic Design to Environmental Design. So my final project of college was this darn cube, so you could say I had a bit of PTSD. Students were able to choose any material to construct an 6 inch x 6 inch cube. I decided to paint my cube to combine both my love of painting and design into one project. Painting the cube took away from the perfect angles and pop outs on the cube. It gave this perfect cube a “messy” look, which to be honest helped me get over the PTSD of the previous “Cube Project”.

Jonny’s Flights

I’ve had the incredible opportunity to work as a freelance designer since I graduated from Auburn in May. In June I was hired by Jonny Trvl to take on the roll as Graphic Designer. Since being hired, I have rebranded their website and Instagram, designed a bunch of vintage inspired posters, and TONS of graphics! My favorite part about working with Jonny was his inspiring entrepreneurship. We have both started our own companies and he’s inspired me to take that next big leap, (even though for his that’s moving to Croatia) of rebranding my own website. Above you’ll see some of my favorite designs I got to hand draw and upload to Illustrator to give it that posterized look. You can check out his website at https://www.jonnytrvl.com and maybe book a few trips yourself!

Cedarfest Poster

The poster above was inspired by vintage circus posters from the late 1900s. This poster was a commissioned by an organization at Auburn University to sponsor a concert off campus. This project inspired a lot of research into typography and print design which ended up being such a fun process. This poster is also being made into a t-shirt.
